Who this applies to
This policy applies to everyone who uses Pedibee: account holders, every member of a workspace, and anything acting for them, including API keys and connected AI assistants. The owner of a workspace is responsible for what is sent from it. It adds detail to sections 5 and 6 of our terms of service.
Email you may send
- Outreach to people you have a lawful reason to contact, such as a genuine business interest in what you offer, or consent where the law requires it.
- Follow-ups to people who have not asked you to stop.
- Emails about your product to your own customers and sign-ups, including receipts, payment reminders and account notices.
Email you must not send
- Email to lists you bought, rented, scraped or otherwise collected without consent, where consent is required.
- Email with forged or hidden sender details, misleading subject lines, or that pretends to be another person or company.
- Phishing, malware, scams, or links to them.
- Content that is unlawful, defamatory, hateful, harassing or that infringes someone else’s rights.
- Email to anyone who has unsubscribed or asked you to stop, by any route.
- Marketing email without a working unsubscribe.
Rules Pedibee enforces for you
Some of these rules are built into the product, so they apply whatever a workspace does:
- Campaign, sequence and marketing automation email carries an unsubscribe link and a one-click unsubscribe header.
- Every opt-out goes on the workspace’s do-not-email list, and every send checks it, including sends from the API and AI assistants.
- Each Gmail account sends at most 1,900 emails a day, paced with gaps between them.
- Pedibee never rotates sending addresses or domains to get past spam filters.
You must not try to work around any of these, for example by removing unsubscribe links, re-adding people who opted out, or spreading the same send across accounts to avoid limits.
Laws you must follow
You are responsible for following the email and privacy laws that apply to you and to the people you write to. Depending on where they are, these include the CAN-SPAM Act in the United States, the GDPR and the ePrivacy rules in the European Union, PECR and the UK GDPR in the United Kingdom, and CASL in Canada.
Using the service fairly
- Do not try to access another workspace or another customer’s data.
- Do not probe, overload or attack the service, or bypass its rate limits.
- Do not resell Pedibee or share an account between companies without our written agreement.
- Security testing against your own account is welcome. Read the security page first.
What happens if the rules are broken
If we reasonably believe a workspace breaks this policy or harms the deliverability or reputation of the service, we may pause its sending, suspend the workspace or close the account. Where we can, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix it. Serious cases, such as phishing or malware, may be stopped at once.
Reporting abuse
If you received an email sent with Pedibee that breaks these rules, forward it to abuse@pedibee.com, as an attachment if you can. A person reviews every report. If you just want the emails to stop, use the unsubscribe link in the email, or read our page for email recipients.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product and the law change. We will change the date at the top when we do, and tell workspace owners about significant changes.
